…and boy was it fun!
We drove down Friday, I wore my Swallowtail for the first time.

Saturday we arrived at the fair grounds around noon. I finished my Ripley hat in the car on the way there! I made it out of Alpaca with a Twist Baby Twist, thanks to my buddy Deirdre’s helpful notes on knitting this pattern with worsted weight yarn.

We arrived just in time for the Ravelry meetup, where we got to see the Rav gang which is always a treat.

They had a mascot this year, Bob of course!

(pssst…that’s Ysolda in there. And yes, she MADE that!)
I saw an old friend from last year.

Can you believe it, Carrie, it’s the same llama I was so in love with! His name is Aboo, he is from Hyde Park, right down the street from Rhinebeck. See you next, year, buddy!
And look at these two love birds.

Come on!
We thoroughly enjoyed our trip, we are planning on going next year as a family. Can’t wait!

I completely forgot about the Ravelry meetup! But then I was completely overwhelmed with the show this year. It was my first time and I think I walked around with my mouth hanging open for the first three hours… and I was only able to stay for four.
I hope you had a blast. I’m sorry I didn’t get to meet you.
Looks like so much fun!
oh my!!! i’m bummed i didn’t get to see you with your buddy again! and those darling snugglers…irresistible. i would have had to take them home with me. :)
Awww…those animals are so cute! I’m happy to hear that everyone had a good time. :) P.S. Your striped Ripley looks fantastic!
What fun! Ysolda is too cute, and so are you, by the way!
A family trip next year sounds wonderful- enjoy!
