Notes from the Road

The past few weekends I hit the road for a mini Coastal Knits tour.  It was wonderful to be able to share the book with actual people, knitters!

First stop was Knitwit Yarn Shop, my LYS, the place where I officially fell in love with knitting 6 years ago.  The shop has a new owner, Suzie, and she is just great.

Here's an old buddy, Karen, trying on the Panoramic Stole.

Next up was Stitches East.  I sadly have no photos because I forgot my camera!  But I loved meeting everyone who came by the String Theory booth.  Some even brought there books from home to be signed, it was great to get there feedback on the book since they'd already had a chance to spend time with it.  Everyone was so enthusiastic about Coastal Knits, it was so great to hear.

This past Sunday I was at Purl Diva.  Ellen was a lovely host, look at my giant cup of tea!

Carrie, Immie and Cecily came for the event, it was so nice to see all of them.  Carrie took the East Coast photographs for the book and Cecily did some technical editing.  And Immie, well she was just cute :)

At this event in particular everyone was commenting on how much they loved the local places mentioned in the book.  I've seen similar comments on-line about Alana's California inspiration locations.  We're so glad everyone is enjoying this feature!  Coastal Knits is so special to us.  It means a lot that it can be special to so many others, too.
