Ever wanted to take a class with me? Now you can!

Enrollment is open for Knit Stars, the online knitting summit I am teaching at in just a few short weeks!  This virtual conference takes place October 10 - 21, 2016. Because it's all online, anyone in the world can attend and learn knitting tips, tricks, and techniques from a fantastic group of instructors, designers, and indie dyers, and all without the hassle and expense of travel. Knit Stars enrollees get to keep their videos forever, so they can watch or re-watch them whenever they want, and they also get some amazing bonuses, such as free patterns, a live Q&A with the instructors, and a private Facebook community.  All this for just $199!

I don't get out to teach with a young family at home.  If you've ever wanted to take a class with me, this is your chance!  I'll teach you tips that will help you to knit wearable garments that can fit into your everyday wardrobes.  The Knit Stars team came to my house and recorded my class back in July and after seeing the finished result, I have to say, I'm really proud of this class!

Enrollment ends October 6, 11:59pm PST...grab a spot for this summit with myself, Amy Small of Knit Collage, Stephen West, Julie Asselin, Julie Weisenberger of Coco Knits, Meghan Fernandes of Pom Pom Quarterly, Romi Hill and Taiu Landra of Koigu!

Wool Trip Pop Up Shop

Wow!  What a busy summer our family had.  As a result, what a busy September we had getting caught up around here!  I just popped into my blog and realized I have not been in the space for quite some time.

If you subscribe to our feed, you most likely followed along as we produced our own small batch of yarn over the summer.  In case you missed it, read the full account HERE.

We launched our Wool Trip Pop up Shop at the end of August and were delighted to see delighted knitters scooping up our yarn.  We also produced a t-shirt to commemorate the project.

If you missed the launch of the shop, we have some yarn and t-shirts left, get them while you can!  Once they are gone, they're gone forever.

Last week we enjoyed taking Wool Trip on the road to the Squam Art Fair in Holderness, NH and the Knitting Pipeline Retreat in Kennebunk, Maine.  Getting a chance to tell the story in person got us excited about this project all over again.

One of the funnest stages of this project was returning to the Organic sheep farm where we sourced our wool to photograph a new design knitted in our yarn.  Enjoy a little excerpt of the shoot with our friends Birch Blaze on our YouTube channel!

KNIT STARS registration opens soon!

A few weeks ago a film crew arrived at my door and we spent a (very) full day shooting the class that will be part of an online knitting retreat this fall.  The focus of my class is knitting wardrobe essentials: how to plan for them and how to execute basic techniques most commonly used in my patterns.  Also: footage of my family and my cat!

If you missed it the during pre-orders, enjoy the free video series including favorite tips and techniques, and peeks into the workspaces of all nine instructors!  Sign up for the free series HERE and you'll be notified when registration for the summit opens...soon!
