Abe and I drove down from San Francisco to Atascasdero this past weekend for a Closely Knit event at The Scarlet Skein.  Alana and I finally got to meet!

Who’s going to Rhinebeck?  I am!  Carrie and I will be there poking around Saturday, and at the Ravelry party Saturday night (hopefully…I have a stupid cold right now).

Sunday I will be in the authors tent ALL DAY, starting at 10, signing copies of Closely Knit.  Please come and say hi!

Nashoba Valley Knitting Guild

Monday, May 12th, 2008

Last Wednesday I went to visit my Aunt Lynn in Harvard, MA.

It is one of the cutest towns ever.  After spending the afternoon hanging out at her house and shopping at The Wool Pack, I attended her guild meeting.  I was able to present my book to knitters who had helped me with some of the pieces from Closely Knit.

I also got to meet Ellen, who started Ellie’s Reclaimed Cashmere.  She finds “abandoned” cashmere sweaters and recycles the yarn.  If you are in Portland, Anna carries it at Knitwit.  Ellen is sending me some to play with, I will write about it once it arrives!
