One of the things I love about knitting is how it can connect the younger generations with previous ones. I've been spending more time with my grandmother lately and I'm reminded of what an influence she's had on me and my love of crafts.

I've been working on a new design inspired by my grandmothers favorite cardigan. In all her decades of knitting she hasn't knit many pieces for herself, most things were gifts. But this particular sweater she likes so much she has two of her own.

I'm hoping to have this design ready in a few weeks...in the meantime, I'll switch to photo sharing mode...a photo a day of family photos and knit pieces from the family cedar chest.
