Cradle Cardigan KAL - Part 1

This is the first installment of the Cradle Cardigan knit-a-long. In this video we'll go over long-tail cast on, make one left and make one right increases, backward loop cast on and yarn over buttonholes.

In this first installment of the Cradle Cardigan knit-a-long, we'll:

- cast on using a long-tail cast on (I'm working with Chickadee) - work make one left (M1L) and make one right (M1R) increases - work a backwards loop cast on - work a yarn over (yo) button hole

A few disclaimers -- this video production stuff is totally new to me. So the fact that it sounds like there's a rattle snake in the room with me...not sure why that is. Also, I'm feeling a little vulnerable knitting in front of ALL of you...I'm sure among you are some very precise knitters. There are many different techniques you can use when knitting, this is just a sampling of some of the ones I love and the way I do them. Hey - maybe it will be helpful to some of you!

The next installment will air later this week. We'll be dividing the sleeves from the body.

Feel free to leave a comment with any questions you might have, or if you'd like to share a favorite cast on or way of working increases!

Do you have your copy of Mabel's Closet yet?

See you on Monday

Thanks to Jerusha for helping me put this first KAL video together today...okay, so maybe I didn't realize what I was getting into when I set out to do this :)  I DO know how to knit, so that's good.  We'll see about production quality...we think atleast the content will be solid!

Cradle Cardigan Knit-a-long

I will be hosting a KAL for the Cradle Cardigan right here on Knitbot beginning Monday. If you aren't able to participate in real time, no worries - the videos won't be going anywhere. You can join in whenever you're ready!

I'll be casting on with Chickadee in frost.

How about you?

Also, Mabel's Closet is selling out fast, so grab you're limited edition book while we have them!  (Once they do sell out, the e-book will still be available.)
