Door War

Ever since we bought the house, I have been most excited about working on the outside. When spring sprung I painted my front a very nice green. Last week I left to go to the grocery store and spotted some painters working at the house on the corner of our street. To my shock and horror, they were painting the side and front doors of the building the EXACT same color green as my door. Now, I am a grown up. I have learned to share. But come on, we can't have the SAME color door! So, despite the drop in temperature, I repainted. It turns out I like it even better than I liked the green. door.JPG 'tis the season for beautiful food... food.JPG My pile of hats for the shop-a-do is growing... hat.JPG

A Fall Family Frolic

Today it looked like this. leaves.jpg

This year Carrie and I are sharing a table at the Shop-a-do Craftastic on December 12 at Space Gallery, and I am trying to crank out 30 hats by then. I want to have some imagery to spice up my display, so I enlisted my sister and niece for a hat photo shoot (this isn't the first time Theresa has had to do something like this for me!)

These hats look so great on each of them, I think I will name the hats the Theresa and the Bella!

I will have a variety of hats for the craft fair, but these two are my faves so far. At some point I will make the patterns available here on knitbot. Stay tuned...

closelyknit.jpg    Jessica told me a few weeks back that they were going to be reshooting the cover.  This made me so nervous, I really liked the first cover!  I was imagining all of the hideous possibilities.  It turns out that the "new" cover is very similar to the original one.  Yeah!  And you know what, it is better.  I like it.  There, I said it.  I am in touch with someone at F & W who will be helping me organize publicity events for the book.  Fun!
