What's happening now

It's been a beautiful fall.  Despite the wind of Hurricane Sandy blowing through the other night, there still remain some lovely leaves on some of the trees.

I'm a full time (tired) mom.

I now have a yellow door.

I'm knitting this.

I'm sewing with this.

These lovely people and I have just moved into a new office.

Speaking of these folks, we'll be announcing our latest collaborative project soon.  And let's just say...there may be some video diaries and tutorials introduced here on Knitbot.

I'm a little scared, but you'll all be kind, right?  Right.  Check back!

Knitted Gift: Fantastic Sweater

I've been meaning to post photographs of this little sweater for a while. When I first went back to work after Mabel was born, I found this folded neatly on my desk. The talented (and sneaky!) Bristol Ivy knitted it in fingering weight, adapted from an adult pattern. (Bristol, can you share any more details?)

I just love it, and she'll get a lot of use out. There are multiple buttonholes which allows you to adjust the fit as she grows. Brilliant!

Thanks, Bristol!

Oh, and speaking of homemade gifts, the quilt Mabel is lying on was just given to me by my cousin, Kitty.  Thanks, Kitty, it's so beautiful!
