Finished: Speckle

I finished Amanda Keep's Speckle cardigan last night, knit in Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino. speckle

It's size 3 months for my little baby Jonah.

Overall, it was a fun pattern.  The fabric knit up quick.  I've been doing so many top down sweaters lately, I had forgotten how long finishing can take when everything is in pieces...forever.  I really like how the button band is in linen stitch, that was a nice touch on the designer's part.  Obviously I still need buttons...

We went to Rhinebeck...

...and boy was it fun! We drove down Friday, I wore my Swallowtail for the first time.

Saturday we arrived at the fair grounds around noon.  I finished my Ripley hat in the car on the way there!  I made it out of Alpaca with a Twist Baby Twist, thanks to my buddy Deirdre's helpful notes on knitting this pattern with worsted weight yarn.

We arrived just in time for the Ravelry meetup, where we got to see the Rav gang which is always a treat.

They had a mascot this year, Bob of course!

(pssst...that's Ysolda in there.  And  yes, she MADE that!)

I saw an old friend from last year.

Can you believe it, Carrie, it's the same llama I was so in love with!  His name is Aboo, he is from Hyde Park, right down the street from Rhinebeck.  See you next, year, buddy!

And look at these two love birds.

Come on!

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip, we are planning on going next year as a family.  Can't wait!
