Knitted Gift: Fantastic Sweater

I've been meaning to post photographs of this little sweater for a while. When I first went back to work after Mabel was born, I found this folded neatly on my desk. The talented (and sneaky!) Bristol Ivy knitted it in fingering weight, adapted from an adult pattern. (Bristol, can you share any more details?)

I just love it, and she'll get a lot of use out. There are multiple buttonholes which allows you to adjust the fit as she grows. Brilliant!

Thanks, Bristol!

Oh, and speaking of homemade gifts, the quilt Mabel is lying on was just given to me by my cousin, Kitty.  Thanks, Kitty, it's so beautiful!

Bayside Pullover Special from Quince

One of my designs recently released from Coastal Knits asan individual pattern is the Bayside Pullover.

Photos by Carrie Bostick Hoge.

This raglan pullover is worked from the top down.  Rope-like cables run up and down the sides and along the raglan lines.  It takes it's inspiration from Portland's working waterfront, designed in Portland based Quince & Co.'s 100% linen yarn, Sparrow.

Now through October 17, Quince is offering the Bayside Pullover pattern free with your purchase of 6 or more skeins of Sparrow Sans 200.  Thanks, Quince!

You can also buy the Bayside Pattern individually HERE or the book Coastal Knits in print or digital format HERE.

Watch tomorrow for a round up of some of your completed Bayside Pullovers!
