Friends on Opposite Shores

Five years and one collaboration later, my friend Alana and I were able to spend time face to face!  She and her husband stayed with us at the tail end of a mini east coast book tour.   We had visited them in California five years ago, this was their first time to Maine.   An unexpected surprise was that Neesha Hudson, our illustrator, was also in town.  It was great to enjoy some of Maine's beauty all together!

Knitbot Collection in motion

Knitbot sweaters in motion.

At last weeks photo shoot I was able to do something I've wanted to do for a long time: shoot video of the Knitbot collection.  Some time's it's hard to get a real sense of a sweater without being able to see it from all sides, in motion.  My apologies for the slightly shaky footage...I was standing on slippery rocks without a tripod when I shot this.  Get out the sea sick bands and enjoy!

Thanks to Kaye for modeling!

A few Knitbot classics

This morning I was up SO early with the Quince crew photographing my fall collection.  I can't wait to show it off to you in the next few weeks.

In the meantime...I also took the opportunity to rephotograph a few classic Knitbot sweaters, including the original Featherweight Cardigan in Malabrigo Lace Frank Ochre.

These are all outtakes from the Knitbot trunk show in motion: that's right, video.  More on that later this week...
