Simply Sandy

Earlier this year I had my introduction to Quince & Company's newest yarn Owl.  As Owl and I became acquainted I designed a simple pullover vest with ribbing up the sides and a low scoop neck.  This alpaca / wool blend yarn was fantastic on the needles!  I spent the summer designing a collection of yoked sweaters, some fair isle some plain, which will be releasing in a few weeks.

In the meantime, would you like to give Owl a try?  Here is Sandy, a great piece to wear between seasons.

Friends on Opposite Shores

Five years and one collaboration later, my friend Alana and I were able to spend time face to face!  She and her husband stayed with us at the tail end of a mini east coast book tour.   We had visited them in California five years ago, this was their first time to Maine.   An unexpected surprise was that Neesha Hudson, our illustrator, was also in town.  It was great to enjoy some of Maine's beauty all together!
