Exciting news: I'm teaching along with 8 other fantastic instructors at an online conference this fall!

Knit Stars is an online conference, so anyone anywhere can join. All kinds of useful information will be shared that will help you take your knitting to the next level. And all without having to travel!

For the fall conference I'll be talking about forethought: how to choose and knit projects that will fit into your everyday wardrobe! We all want that, right?

It hasn't been practical for me to travel to teach, but I do love helping people become better knitters. Knit.fm was great fun that way. This online conference will be great, too! I truly believe this series will be helpful to you, as well as entertaining. There are some great personalities in the mix: Stephen West, Romi Hill, Julie Weisenberger of Cocoknits, Amy Small of Knit Collage, Meghan Fernandes of Pom Pom Quarterly, Taiu Landra of Koigu and indie dyers Julie & Jean-Francois Asselin!

In yesterdays post we highlighted the 8 prize winners for our first annual We Wear Knitbot Fashion Show. There were so many great entries, I wanted to highlight some more!

One nice surprise were the kids who participated! When I launched the show I hadn't even thought of that possibility, but OF COURSE and next year we'll make it a specific category. I loved this one styled down to the book.

A neat thing that came out of this show is that some knitters used it as a knit-a-long, whether casting on during the show or using the show to finish a work in progress like Monica.

It goes against my self- deprecating nature to post photos of myself by myself, but hey, maybe free yarn!
