Aren't You Supposed to Be Knitting?

Well, yes I am, but I'm not, okay?  This week I set aside extra time to work on the book, and found myself sewing instead.  I'm telling myself it's all related...somehow.  I had fun working out the tricky facing on this top.

In yarn news, I received a box from Westminster Fibers, practically overnight, too.

Kid Classic for Mother's Pillow
Kid Classic and Kid Silk Haze for Picture Frame
Kid Classic for Teddy Bear
and...
Scottish Tweed 4 ply for juggling balls. Abe's already tried them out.
Also, I discovered this excellent lace weight alpaca at Knitwit, from Alpaca with a Twist, which I decided I wanted to use for the daughters knee high socks.  Jennifer was happy to send along two skeins (875 yards each!) I am very excited about these sock, and I don't usually like knitting socks.
Abe and I are leaving on Sunday for California.  His company was just acquired by Google (you may have heard of them).  So two weeks of training at the Google Campus are in order.  Meanwhile, I get to stay at the Hotel Avante and knit. Yeah!
