Wow, I can't even believe we're wrapping up 2011. But we are! This was a big year for me. I remember back in January telling Alana, "I'm really going to try this year." And try I did!
First, I hired a new technical editor, Tana Pageler, who went through all Knitbot patterns with a fine toothed comb and made them, well, better. Neesha Hudson created some new illustrations for me, and with these in hand Mary Joy Gumayagay designed a beautiful new pattern template for Knitbot.
I created a mini design collection using The Fibre Company's Savannah.
Spring Ribbed, Sycamore, Sunnyside
And after all this, some how, some way, Alana and I created Coastal Knits, which has been more successful than we ever dreamed!
What's on the horizon for 2012? So far I can tell you that I have a collaborative project in the works with Quince & Co. On a personal note, I am expecting my 2nd child in June. So 2012 is sure to be filled with lots of excitement. Stay tuned, and thanks for your continued support!
As the year draws to a close, I'll be posting round ups of some of my favorite finished Knitbot projects from you knitters completed in 2011. Watch for those over the next few weeks!
Also, a note to let you knitters know that effective January 1, 2012, Knitbot garment pattern PDF rates will be going up from $4.95 to $5.95 each. All my patterns received an overhaul earlier this year, extensive technical editing and graphic design, but I hadn't yet adjusted my rates to reflect this work. Feel free to take advantage of these last weeks of December to grab a pattern you've wanted at the old price!
