Malabrigo Sock Sweater - Day 5

day-5.jpg 3 inches of the body worked in the muggy heat.

I also discovered this piece.  I'm thinking this is from, like, three years ago.

I don't recall what my original intention was for this, but I've decided I like it and will complete it as a summy blanky for baby.  It's Rowan Summer Tweed on US 9, a combination of two stitch patterns from the Vogue Knitting Stitchionary, Volume One.

Despite the muggy weather, I am almost through putting my studio together.  Someone is enjoying it.

Malabrigo Sock Sweater - er, Days 2 - 4

So, it turns out I'm not so good with the daily check in.  One of my excuses is that, finally, the weather has been beautiful here in Maine.  I've been out soaking it up while I can.   I do have some progress to report on the sock yarn sweater. day-2-2.jpg

This sweater has a nice wide neck.  This will be great for the wee sizes, to accomodate their giant heads!  Also, I think it will be quite flattering on the lady - folk.  On the gents...hmmm, not sure about that yet.  We'll take a good look once the sweater is complete and decide whether it is truly unisex.

How great is this color? It's called Chocolate Amargo.

Finished: Tangled Yoke Cardigan

Part of my nesting before baby arrives has been finishing up half knit sweaters that have been kicking around my knitting basket for, well, years in some cases. Yesterday I finished the Tangled Yoke Cardigan.  Well, okay, I still need to do the button bands, but I am going to document it here as finished.  I think this is a sweet, wearable cardi, I'm glad I will have it in my collection.

Once I have it all "buttoned up" I will post some more pictures.  In the mean time, it gives me great satisfaction, to say THERE, one sweater down...
