Last November I posted these instructions for a super simple beret I had whipped up for my cold early mornings here in Maine. I was surprised by how popular it became! I certainly didn't invent the stockinette stitch beret. It did show me that sometimes as knitters we want basic, especially when we have a gorgeous yarn to showcase! Since I posted the free pattern, people often e-mail me and ask for the beret pattern in different weights.
Just in time for fall, I am introducing the Knitbot Snack Size Pattern Series. You won't find rocket science here, but you will find classic accessories you can work up for the cooler weather ahead.
The first in the series is the Day Beret. It is the Early Morning Beret, sized for DK weight yarn. The pattern includes instructions for a child and adult version.
